Terms of use

Where the reporting comes from, what you can do with it, and the limits on relying on it. Read the first section even if you skip the rest.

Nothing here is legal or insurance advice

This desk reports on coverage law, licensing deadlines, code and standards changes, carrier behavior, and pricing. None of it is legal advice, insurance advice, claims advice, or financial advice, and reading it creates no attorney-client relationship and no professional relationship of any other kind.

Deadlines move. Statutes get amended. The same rule reads differently in two states, and differently again on two policy forms. Before you act on anything you read here, confirm it against the primary source we link to, and where money, a license, or liability is on the line, take it to your own attorney, your broker, your carrier, or your state licensing board. A story on this site is a starting point for that conversation, never a substitute for it.

Where the reporting comes from

Every story is built from publicly available material: trade press, court opinions and filings, regulator and legislature postings, carrier and vendor announcements, standards bodies, and public company disclosures. Each story links out to the sources it rests on, and quotes only enough to make the point.

Links to outside sites are references, not endorsements. We do not control those sites, we cannot vouch for what they publish, and their content is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Accuracy and corrections

The sweep that gathers stories is automated. The judgment calls are not. That means an error is possible on either side, so every story carries a confidence marker and a link to what it is built on. If you find something wrong, tell the desk and it gets fixed and noted. See corrections and how the desk rates stories.

What you may do with it

Read it, quote it, and forward it to an operator who needs it. Short excerpts are welcome with a clear credit to The Restoration HQ and a link back to the page you took it from.

What is not permitted: republishing whole briefs or story pages, mirroring the site, scraping it to build a competing feed or product, using it as training data for a commercial model, or presenting the writing as your own.

Using the site

The team area is private. Do not attempt to reach it without a sign-in you were given. Do not run automated requests at a volume that degrades the site for other readers, do not attempt to interfere with it, and do not use it to transmit anything unlawful. Access can be withdrawn if you do.

Changes and contact

These terms can change. The date at the top of the page changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that is how you accept the new version.

The Restoration HQ is published by Restoration360, an AXIOM intelligence product. Reach the desk at Jake@buildaxiom.ai or through the contact page.
